I wonder how long it will be before a game like this can take weight and resistance of every voxel or group of voxels into account so we don't see 10 stories buildings held together and kept from collapsing by a single voxel lol.Īlso I was expecting cringe, but the Owen Wilson trailer is actually super good and does a great job selling the game. Owen Wilson (yes, THAT Owen Wilson) narrates the launch trailer for the PS5 and Xbox Series XS versions of Teardown, the hit heist-framed, voxel-powered game of destroying the environment in. Very well done release, lots of options (fov, 120fps, photo mode) mod support. You’ll communicate with the supernatural, manipulate the world, and travel to the past by tuning into time tears: unnatural fissures in the time-space continuum. Tap into the eerie sounds and static using OXENFREE's signature radio mechanic. The tech is quite remarkable too I remember watching the super early videos talking about the lighting and physics and thinking this would never come to consoles and a lot of the fancier stuff would only be available to people with super high end machines (or willing to tank their framerates).īut here it is on consoles running at a very stable 60fps, with each light source (including multiple explosions) casting shadows, raytraced reflections (though with limited range and SSR fallback) and the most impressive smoke physics you've ever seen. Ghostly signals are piercing through the frequencies of Camena. Planning your heists and escapes is a lot of fun and gets real tense and there's a semblance of story told through TV shows and whatnot. Yeah a lot of people are just going to mess with sandbox but I am finding the campaign to be a lot more fleshed out and well done than I imagined.
